Rumour has it that horats cheese became very famous in ancient Armenian city of Van 200 years ago. Armenian doctor introduced it speaking of its very healing nature due to many herbs used in it. It is “hored” (digged) for three months before tasting. Owing to its unique taste and smell this is one of the delicacies of Armenian cuisine.
